Cold air & Exhaust

I am looking to make 2 small mods to my car. I have a 2011 2ss auto vert. I would like to get a cold air kit (CAI is the leading choice at the moment) and the the Solo Performance J pipe kit as well. Is this a good combo choice, or are there better recommendations?

I hate the AFM, but I am trying to wait until the 36k warranty is out before tuning to remove the AFM (19998 currently), but I cannot stand how quiet the car is. My 1998 Z sounds better than my 2011, and she only has a FlowMaster kit installed.

To be honest, I have no plans on changing out the entire exhaust system. Not to mention, while I love my car, I am getting tired of the constant trips to the dealer (almost once a month). She is actually at the dealer now for a broken trunk shade, hole in trunk weatherstripping due to cable tube rubbing on it (second time it has to be replaced in 6 months), and water on the driver's side molding (second time).

I prefer the vararam but the CAI is popular on this site.

I'd either get an ADM Race or Vararam.

Those are both great options. You can disable the AFM with a Range AFM Delete Module and it will not impact your warranty.

What are the benefits of the ADM or Vararam over the CAI?

I have looked into it, but haven't decided if I wanted to grab one.

I'm also happy with my CAI and run Solo's axle back and hi flow cats on my vert and love the exhaust note. The Range device is a must even without the cats because it sounded awful when AFM would kick in.

I didn't think about the cats. Will have to look at that too.

The 36k warranty is the bumper to bumper warranty. You'll still have the drive train warranty that is 5 year/100,000mi.

Yep that's the one your voiding if any.

Your mods are removable though so go for it just don't bring it to Chevy after there installed.

If that is the case, since this is a 2011 vert and all the visits it has made to Chevy, it might be a good idea to leave it as it.
