All-Season Tire Suggestions
So in the near future I will be needing new tires and I figured I would get peoples opinions on the best options based on the criteria listed below.
Looking for the best bang for the buck not the best tire available. It may be one in the same though which is fine. Criteria: 1. Must be able to handle snow to a certain degree. I will not be driving in snow storms or blizzards but in Wisconsin it is normal for me to go out in 1-3" of snow. 2. Must have a speed rating of W or above. 3. Great traction in the summer time for backroad cruising. 4. Good treadlife unlike these crap P-Zeros. Options: 1. Continental ExtremeContact DWS 2. General G-Max 3. Other |

the G-MAX is my vote.....I've put nearly 20000 on my set now, and love them, and still look nearly new.
there is a video one of our members posted of him driving in the snow, he gives them a GLOWING thumbs up!

After reading numerous reviews I went with the G-Max and I'm very pleased. I was impressed with the way they handled in the snow. I have around 38,000 miles on mine, the fronts look good the rears will be replaced next week.

I have the Conti's. Have had them on for 24k miles, through their 2nd winter season, and they are rockstars. I see no reason to think they won't last through a 3rd winters, unless I get crazy and track it this summer.

I've had great driveability with the GMax tires..great in snow /wet/ and ice isn't too bad unless it's just totally black glare ice..packed snow and packed ice/snow is really good as well.

Id look into the nitto motivo. I have heard great things about them so far. Im also in the same boat as you op, I've been doing a lot of research and might give the motivo a try. Just so you know though, you'll be giving up some traction going from the pirelli to an all season

Like? I have a lot of buddies and local racers who use them. Between them all they've used the nt01, nt05, nt555, nt555r, nt05r, and invo and none of them have ever said they didn't like them

Gmax all the way - I researched very heavily before purchasing them. Definitely your best option in my opinion.

Nitto Motivo's are awesome. Best tire I have ever owned. I had the G-Max's before and was very disappointed with them.
