ZL1 1LE ride height adjustment

Anyone with a ZL1 1LE adjust the height on their cars yet?

Just curious how easy/hard it is. Pictures would be cool as well.

Thx

This weekend I'll be playing with the ride height and camber plates. I'll let you know how it goes!

The height adjustment for the front only isn't for the Stancenation look, it's for handling.

The adjustment is quite easy and instantly familiar if you've ever adjusted a coilover spring perch. Just loosen the allen bolt (don't remove), rotate the perch to adjust up or down as illustrated in the owners manual high performance supplement to the desired position, and re-tighten the allen bolt. A lower front ride height will translate into less understeer / more oversteer and has the side effect of looking better as well (at least in my eyes).

Note: the car doesn't come with a spring perch adjustment tool. You can buy one or, in a pinch, you can use a pair of allen wrenches to get the right leverage to rotate the perches.

Hope this helps.

Front shock spring seats are adjustable to corner weight the car for track use.
Rear suspension ride height is not adjustable to maintain suspension geometry and toe curve.

awee thats cute, you think im part of that stupid "stance" thing. Clearly you know nothing about proper suspension tuning and geometry. Proper height adjustable coilovers are to be upfront and rear, not only front. I track and tune my cars and clients cars "at the track"..... just doesnt make sense why the front can only be "height" adjustable.

And (this is probably obvious, but going to ask anyways) can the camber adjustment be done without removing the wheels?

The first time, yeah, it's a pain in the butt to get to and undo the Allen bolt on the underside of the strut upper mount. After that, no. That said, it's still not that quick or easy to rotate be struts so my recommendation is pick a permanent alignment spec that fits your needs and leave it there.

You can see in this pic the allen bolt that needs to be loosened to rotate the assembly and adjust ride height. The other allen bolt, for getting the aggressive camber setting, is much harder to get to.

Thx for the pic.

So I hear you can get as much as -3.7 camber with the most aggressive adjustments...

You can use the same allen wrench to turn the bottom spring adjuster by inserting into the holes. I lowered mine by 5mm It tells you in the book that comes with the car how many turns make the change height in mm
