Hood vent on 2014's

Just wondering if anyone has seen any pic(s) of the underside of the hood vent on the 2014 SS or Z28 yet? Any hood-open pics out there? Curious to see if it has a "splash" pan and/or how it diverts water away from the engine. I saw one pic that seemed to show a thick kind of chrome wire mesh that is under or between the vent slot openings.

Seen a pic, it diverts water to the front, towards the hood latch.

Thanks for the pic....looks like a Junk trap....Sorry I do not care for holes in the hood...will just catch leaves, pollen, dirt etc and be hard to clean...I can see having to remove the under cover for cleaning.......not sure how that helps down force....'13 or bust

I think it probley works as a heat extractor also to reduce temps in the engine compartment.

Yes I know that but has also been said to help down force. I guess by reducing upward pressure on bottom of hood...not a fan for reasons stated above. Will not be easy to rermove for cleaning of junk that finds its way in...may well be an attraction for folks pouring fluids down such...club goers be ware

wonder if pre '14 hoods will fit or did that change the the front clip too much...

There's a lot of heat that comes off the exhaust manifolds. Using heat extractors, this will help cool external engine temps.

Would the Vararam work with this hood? Or will it just funnel water onto the filter?
