Might no be able to order my 1LE :(
The dealer is gonna take my Harley on trade, but they can't place the order because they are in constraint! The guy said it could be one of many reasons. I don't want give my Harley unless I'm garanteed to get the 1LE I want. I'll know this Thursday it the constraint goes away, as it is a week by week thing. I was getting sooooo amped up for this...talk about taking the wind out of your sails!

I wasnt aware of any contraints right now, so you are sure its not an allocation thing and your dealer just doesnt have an allocation? If thats the case, try another dealer. Good luck man!

It was a 2 week process for my order to get picked up back in feb. it's nuts. I have no idea why they would be on constraint still unless they are trying to keep production numbers down, or if there is a shortage of something, I don't know.
You could wait till may and go on autotrader, there should be a bunch of new 1le's popping up from around the country maybe. |

This 1LE package has always been a limited number run. The advice I got, (from someone I know that was the former president of AC Delco that made a couple calls for me), was to order it as soon as possible because the production/order taking could be halted at any time. That phone call was on Feb 27th and I ordered mine Feb 28th. Build Mar 26 and will be in my garage by Friday this week !
I'm sure there will be a few dealers with them on their lots but they will be far and few between. Most dealers don't want this type of car in the inventory, not a huge seller. Again, I'm not an expert by any stretch but I got my order in on time and for that I'm very thankful. Keep your fingers crossed, maybe they'll start up again soon ??

That's sucks man. I was lucky enough to have a dealership who had 3 in stock. I believe they still have one left. Not sure if dealerships can exchange vehicles between one another. Look up Hendricks Chevrolet Shawnee Mission in KS

I believe in 2 weeks (mid April) you should be able to order a 2015.
Maybe that's the reason they are pulling the 2014's now. |

I know that this week and next the plant is down due to the amount of cars that need to be shipped out. That may be part of the issue. Check to see what Becky at Rodgers has in stock. She might have what you are looking for.

1LE is not a limited production car. JEEEEEEZ. The plant is closed for 2 weeks. With as bad as the weather has been in the north they have no more room for cars until they get all the ones built shipped out to make room for more produced cars.

I didn't place an order because they can't garantee me a car. I'm not gonna trade in my bike to them and then NOT get the car I want.

It's in constraint because of the weather. The 1LE's tires are rock-hard in cold weather until about 8 degrees celcius / 40 degrees fahrenheit. Not only does the ride feel noticeably harder, but the tires can even crack. So for this reason the cars sit in the factory lot until its warm enough to move them out.
