NEED HELP! Cut off "Roller Skates"

So I just cut off the rollerskates on the front wheels in order for the 18" rims to clear. Now the squeaking every time I break is crazy. Has anyone else have this happen to them and have a solution? Or do I need to replace the brake pads.

Mine are not squeaking that bad right now. But once summer hits and I have the windows open I might need to slap on the pads I got.

It's easier than cutting the rollers skates that you already did

No special tools needed. I can do all front and rear in less than an hour from start to finish

Okay, thats what I thought.... A vendor cut off the roller skates and I wanted to replace brake pads due to squeaking and I was told that he does not have the "special tool" to compress the brake pads??? So i was confused if there was something I was missing

Use a C clamp and a old brake pad to compress. That's the special tool.

DIY is here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135887

I did mine without "C" Clamps. Once you do the first one, the rest will be easy and quick.
