Thanks, I think you are referring to the 440rwhp baseline freak car RPM posted getting their heads and cam package. It went to 557rwhp after the build. If my car which has roughly the same setup different brands and an A8 has the same overall 117 rwhp gains from my 390rwhp baseline numbers with the RPM heads and cam package I will be more than happy.

I would be happy with 117rw from just H/C. That is why I was suggesting having them tune it first so you know the real gains from the new parts when you are done.

I would have Fran tune it first if you really want to know what their H/C package is worth.

Didn't the 1LE they posted about put down like 444/463rw stock on that dyno? Trust me, your car in basic trim shouldn't be that far off unless they are dynoing A8's in 5th. Then you will see a significant difference. My car usually puts down 23-25rw more in 6th than 5th on the dyno. 6th is the 1:1 gear. Look for the gains a package gives you, not the total numbers. All dyno's are different. That is why base line testing is so critical. Good luck with the package. I am sure they will do a good job.

Yes it was dynoed in 5th.... 6th is way too fast for a dyno haha

No doubt. It just sucks trying to compare numbers not in 1:1. I do all my tuning in 5th and try to get one 6th gear pull in for numbers sake. The car shuts off before the dyno though. I wish someone would make us a 3.0 and a 3.15 gear set for these cars. Dyno numbers are dyno numbers. I respect you guys cause you back everything up at the track. Mad props for that.

My 2017 2SS 50th Anniversary Camaro A8 ended up finishing up the dyno at 512rwhp and 464rwtq from a baseline of 387rwhp and 402rwtq. Turned out to be pretty good overall gains with this setup.

The complete setup that I went with for my car is listed below. The RPM team has been professional, and easy to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering some upgrades to make their car go faster.

- Race Proven Motorsports Heads and Cam Package
- Kooks 1-7/8 Long Tube Headers w/ 3" Catted Exhaust system
- MSD Air Force 102mm Intake Manifold
- Nick Williams 102mm Throttle Body
- K&N Blackhawk series intake
- Upgraded to ZL1 1LE Sway Bars

Congrats bro, my car is the 6th gen 1LE behind yours on the lift... Your car sounded pretty damn good at idle and made great power. Should be plenty of fun on the street for sure bro, have you tracked the car at all or is it more a street car for you? Bill & Fran are great to deal with for sure, they have helped me with my build and I am looking forward to seeing what it does. I think I made 432/437 stock no mods which I have heard many say is high for a 6spd car.

Mine will likely never touch a track. I got it for street driving only. I wanted to add the cool sound of a Cam and more HP for fun.

I'm beginning to think the RPM dyno has something against automatics :-). If the trend continues you should see some good numbers once it's all said and done.

My car is being built for the same thing for the most part. I wont ever see a 1/4 mile but some roll race events and highways pulls will happen for sure.

As for the auto, as long as it feels good and sounds good. Thats the best part in my opinion

Needless to say, I will be going back next month to get the converter upgrade done. It drives good its just the lower speeds you can tell the converter needs to be upgraded. The one now has a hard time containing the power :-). If you are in drive and stop for to long the car rear end starts to jump up :-). If you put it in neutral it fixes it. You can also tell at low parking lot speeds that the stock torque converter is struggling.

If I have just went heads and cam without all the other bolt on's with it I probably could have gotten away with not having to upgrade.
