Birds or people are jerks...
So driving at 4 am minding my own business driving to work, drive under a tree and I see something falling and hits my car. Get to work, park in the employee lot and and it looks like it was an egg. Either a birds nest gave out at that moment or some kid at 4 am was tossing eggs. Good news it doesn't look like there is any damage/dents from the impact, but now it will sit like that in the 90 degree sun for 4 days as away for a 4 day trip for work. Also I just waxed it on Sunday so that should hopefully help.

Can't. It shall sit outside in the heat until Friday.... I'm on a 4 day trip( pilot). It is driving me crazy due to that.

Ask a friend or family member to do it then, ASAP. Seriously, that will totally ruin your paint.

Won't help now, but put some quick detailer, or waterless wash in the trunk with some MF towels.

Call your manager or fellow co-workers and ask them to get cleaning supplies and clean your car. Pay them if you have to.
Eggs? In the sun? For 4 days? Believe me the cost of paying your manager or co-worker to get in there and clean it TODAY is going to be far less than the cost of having a body shop redo your paint. At minimum your clear coat will be severely damaged. |

It's an employee lot, not coworker lot. I'm a pilot. Others who park there are TSA, restaurant guys, etc etc. it's not like I know airport workers.

Man, that sucks. I know how you feel . . . a bird got my CF exposed hood insert yesterday, now I have a little spot on it. Have to pick up some Meguiar's M205 or something to get it off.
Edit: Used a light, hand application of Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, and it cleaned it right up. Was worried for a bit. Last edited by Dethsupp0rt; 06-27-2017 at 07:53 PM. |

Well I just remembered I do have a 5 hour sit tomorrow. I can go home and give it a quick wash and then drive back. But knowing my luck, scheduling will add flights to my schedule between my two original flights.

Ouch that is gonna need a repaint when you get back that totally sucks but like others have said always keep some soapy water or waterless wash in your trunk and some microfiber towels just for events like this.
Keep us posted but it's not gonna be a good end result, if you are @ MCO let me know I can take care of it.
