Seriously....she blew a stop sign and got me.

There I was minding my own business in beautiful northern Virginia this morning. Coming back from Starbucks about to enjoy a nice day of work from home when WHAM. The lady blows through a stop sign on my left and I didn't notice it at first until after reviewing the video. I did notice her high rate of speed that's why I attempted to swerve a little into the right lane, but to no avail, she got me.

SUNOFABEECH. I just had this thing wrapped about a month or so ago.

But on the positive side, I have video proof that I was being responsible and she was the one who blew through a stop sign and she was the one who did not yield to oncoming traffic and stop or slow before merging into traffic.

:(

Oh well, now onto the tedious process of claims and arguing for monetary value. I feel kind of bad for her, she was really frantic about her husband, she kept saying he was going to be so upset because they just bought the car on Sunday! Wowsers!

Maybe she was trying to save you from that first comedian on Laugh USA.

It is always a sad day... good luck to you. Considering her panic I assume she took at fault with out much fight. hopefully it'll just be a few calls in the insurance company and you'll be back in the beast again!

Yeah she admitted fault pretty quick and said sorry several times. I never did tell her I have a dash cam, I like to see if people are going to be honest with their insurance companies. I usually introduce the recordings towards the end of the proceedings. Like oh yeah, I forgot I have these recordings

Honestly, it took one guy several years ago in Tulsa OK, to lie to the police after he hit me on purpose and got me a ticket. I will never, ever drive with out a dash cam again, simply because you cannot trust most people to do the right thing.

It's a little after halfway through the first one. It isn't a major impact.

Sorry about the car hopefully the damage is not too serious..... I swear VA drivers have to be in the top 5 worst drivers in the country. Cool to see the camera in action! I love my dash cam, it gives me peace of mind.

Could have been a lot worse... not to take away from your post, but just the other day a coworker got hit similarly from the left due to an idiot that ran a stop sign, but unlike the person in your video, this idiot didn't even slow down and straight up ran the stop sign hitting his 3 month old charger... it wrecked the rear left, and to make matters worse, the idiot back up and re-rammed the drivers door then jetted off... hit and run... all caught on camera, including the idiot's rear licence plate number in high definition as he sped off...

At least she didn't try to run away...
