Closing the trunk - install an interior trunk lid handle?

In the northeast, winter time, the trunk is always dirty/salty etc. I hate touching the exterior to close the trunk. Has anyone installed a trunk handle on the inside to facilitate closing the trunk? I had this on the BMW and forgot how useful it was !

I was thinking of finding a car that looked like it was just screwed on and buying it via the parts counter but thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone has done it.

I too hate touching the paint to close the doors and trunk lid. I think its needless wear and tear. I always close the trunk lid by pressing down on the upper chrome area of the bowtie emblem with two fingers. But I never thought of adding a handle though. Personally, if there is one that doesn't require holes drilled and it looks like it belongs there then i'd consider it.

I usually grabbed the hinge to close it... But I managed to slam it shut on my thumb a few days ago because I wasn't fast enough moving my hand out of the way... That hurt quite a bit. So now I just pull it by the bowtie.

That's a good idea. I've been using the bow tie as a handle.

Nice mod. The only real complaint about the car.

That's how I did it with my 5th gen and started doing it with my Fifty....BUT....found out really quick not to do it that way on a hot sunny day when the Fifty vinyl (which covers the entire truck back) is a tad 'soft'
