MY DOME LIGHT IS NOT TURNING ON PLEASE HELP!!
Hello I have a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro v6 and I have a problem and don't know what else to do to solve the issue. About 3 months ago I installed two LED strips, one on driver foot well and second on passenger foot well I hooked them both up to a wire under the steering column ( the wire I hooked them up to is the power supply to the dome light). The installation was a success then about two or three months past by no problem at all everything was working perfectly then all of a sudden the strips stopped working and also my dome light stopped working. What do any of you all think it was a fuse? maybe the wire went bad? any suggestions please reply I need to get the dome light working again its really annoying not to have it working. Thank you

Check your ground wires.

I just installed the same this last weekend - see photo (black interior, I put in two strips of red LED's in the foot well). They run on two wires, a positive and a negative. The positive is your power and the negative is your ground. Where did you hook up your ground? That is the wire I am referring to.

@pickwithaustin I had it the same way as you have it there on the pic. the red one (+) I hooked that one up to a wire where the steering column is like really deep inside that's where it is located and then I got ground from where the shift is you just pop open the plastic panel on the driver side where the center column is.

Sounds like it isn't lighting up!

I did not tie into the dome light - I have mine on it's own independent circuit with a on/off switch installed below my radio console. I tied in to the aux power (which feeds what used to be called the cigarette lighter). I wanted to be able to control the foot well lighting without the dome light.
