Winter Mods 2023.

For some, you guys don't know what winter is. For others it's a normal thing. Whats everyone's winter mods?

No mods for me, just your maintenance..... MT trans fluid change, Diff fluid change, oil change, and some DRs. I am however trying to source out a new boat...... Dodge Charger 392 widebody. The more I look at them, the more I'm starting to like them.

I am fortunate to have a nice shop with a lift in the winter when my friend goes to Florida in November. Last winter it was a motor swap & this time I will be doing solid cradle bushings along with 3.91's & a truetrac that I already had set up this summer. ZL1 side skirts & picked up a set of npp mufflers very cheap. I would like to say I am done after that but we all know they are never done lol!

Dang, you guys are so much more ambitious than I am these days. My hat is off to you. My white car is my daily so it's oil changes and other basic maintenance through the winter. The black car will be driven on occasion but mostly kept in the garage. So for me - business as usual...

lol. I thought I would never have a mopar, but I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a Durango. They're surprisingly comfortable. Just want a 4 door v8 sedan. My driveway is getting filled up.

My winter mods are probably gonna extend beyond winter. Will be taking her off the road here in about 3-4 weeks.

First mod - TR6060 swapped in.
Once that is done, immediately start LS3 conversion with AGP twin 62's and new fuel system.

I've had the parts sitting here waiting on me to pull the trigger on installing.

Diff fluid was just changed and I'll do another oil change before it gets too cold to get on the garage floor. Winter mods include new Blizak tires this year and donuts when it snows with stability and traction control off.

I will have all my tunning wrapped up this next week or two and then can relax for a while and enjoy the car for a while knowing that all the parts in the engine are harmonizing with each other. lol. Oh and get my car re-dynoed.

I have a few things on my list. Hoping to get my zl1 front and rear brakes powder coated, rebuilt and installed. Looking to do front and rear lightweight crash bars as well. Then its saving money to install all of the clutch bits that I have sitting on the shelf in my garage.

I live in Florida though, so winter is actually more motivation to work on stuff because its nice and cool out and the bugs are all dead. So working outside is real nice!

I have a couple of things I would like to do:
1. Chute mount & accessories
2. swapping a t400 for the 6l80 (hoping to sell the 6l80 & converter)
3. new 3” exhaust
4. Coil relocation and new valve covers

I really need to look into some more safety stuff like 8 or 10 point cage etc.
