Emissions in Maricopa county
So I just got heads, catless headers, cam, ethanol, etc on my ZL1. I live in Maricopa county and currently have Texas plates. I need to change over to AZ. I have a 2018 ZL1. What are my options for getting around emissions? I've heard registering an out of state vehicle requires extra testing, is this true?

I don't think you need to get it tested because it is not more than 5 years old.

...or when your five years is up you could take it off the road and store it until it's old enough to register as a collector car

yea, this. They don't do sniff tests here for gasoline vehicles, just plug into your OBD-II port and look for any codes or issues. If the car is tuned right, you shouldn't have any issues passing.

I've Checked and talked to Russ HAGERTY Agent
here in the Phoenix valley, he's in Scottsdale. All the HAGERTY benefits, plus emissions exempt. Yes emissions exempt. It's more than your normal Insurance company premium. But the big one is agreed value.

I'm pretty sure AZ does'nt even do tailpipe analysis on the newer cars. As long as you don't see a code come up on your dash you should be fine.
