Stock for stock the 392 hangs pretty good with a stock Zl1 considering most ZL1s are still running in 12s. But this all changes in the curves.

A quick story, the week before last I sold my Challenger. On the way back from the bank we stop at the local Shell to fuel it up for the new owner's trip back to NH. I'm pumping the gas and a gentleman comes up and says he can not believe how beautiful the car was, he had just purchased a ZL1 Conv, the week before. He said he had never seen a new SRT8 in person, and wished he had before his purchase. He went on to say I was crazy for giving up the car.

Driving the SRT8 is unlike anything else I have driven, everyone seems to admire and respect it. Pull into any public place and folks just come up to you and the car to admire it. Now I pull up in my 5.0 and nobody blinks, same with my past SS. Sorry but there is no comparison

It really depends on your camaro whether people will stop to look at it. I am constantly asked by people to open the hood you get comments on the car - I have had people taking pictures of the car on the highway in traffic.

Do not get me wrong I do think the challenger gets alot of attention just because there are less on the street. And I love the looks of the car and would get one just because of the hemi - but they had no convertible!! But the top camaro will kill the SRT8 in performance and a slightly modified SS will also!

The ZL camaro's are also rare and the SRT8 does not compare to these cars in performance as the hp is just unbelievable and the handling is in another class. You can get an SS and have a supercharger from SLP for less than an SRT8 with warrantee

We actually could have got a 2012 2ss RS but decided on the 2013, i'm glad i made the decision to go with the newer technology, and in my opinion another year for refinement.
Nothing,they're the same.
The only difference technology-wise from the '12 to the '13 is the My-Link.
