Flex fuel issue
So my car is in the shop and the tuner/owner just told me they’re dealing with fuel pressure issues on e85. They said it’s apparently common and they’ve shimmed the high pressure pump in hopes to fix it. I have the dsx kit. Just want to get Inputs from you guys that have used this kit and if y’all ever dealt with this

most cars can go to about e45-50 without any fuel pump changes...most choose to go with a voltage booster for the in tank low side pump instead of mods with the high pressure pump

This is why I don't mess with that crap. "Oh it's soo simple", "E85 is soo easy to deal with"...yea, and then you find out you can't run this you can't do that your max is 40 if you have this but 27 if you have that you need a low side you need a hp dfi tb3 4x 50hdmi with a pip29 controller on the high side if your pulley is blue...it's not worth the aggravation.

GM LT stuff is by far the easiest platform to run Ethanol on with the flex fuel sensor. The ECU adjusts the tune on the fly for whatever percent Ethanol is in the system. All you have to do is log your car or have a dyno shop log the car and find out how much Ethanol the setup can run. Then you simply mix the E with Pump gas at the pump to stay around that percentage.
Most other platforms require being hard tuned for E which means if the Ethanol percent in the system changes then you have to manually adjust the Tune. Either way feel free to stay on 93 and get gapped by cars with less mods on E...

If even this is too much, you upgrade your fuel system (once) with a tune for 85%+ ethanol, and then you can put any mix of 93 and E85 into the tank anytime, basically "fire and forget". I can understand you personally don't want to mess with "that crap", but then just say that, no need to try and make it look worse than it is.
