Ready to order a Maggie, what do I need to know?
I've decided that I want to go with a blower for my 2017 2SS A8.
It's pretty much stock other than a CAI and Borla axle-back. This is a street toy. I just wanted more power without having to dramatically change street manners. I located a local Magnuson dealer and requested a quote and timeline for an install, they promised to have that to me by Monday. I have a Pray ported stock TB and intake on the car now. I have a ported Lt5 sitting here in a box, which seems like a better option. I assume that I'll need an adapter to make that fit the blower. So what else do I need to know or should I be considering? I've had a few H/C/I cars over the years, this is my first FI build.

How much power are you looking for? If you just bolt the 2650 on with a tune and no other mods it would likely be around 600-620 RWHP

I'd like to do a cam and some bigger things down the road, but the blower seemed like something that I can install now and keep through further stages of the slippery slope we all know I'll eventually slide down... again. Quote:

Some E is a great idea on a boosted LT1 for sure. You’ll need at least LT4 fueling to do that and depending on boost levels, you may have to be careful with how much E you run. On a base pulley with 7 psi or so you can probably run full E85, but as you up the boost you’ll have to scale down how much E you can run since even LT4 fueling will not keep up at full E85. There has been a ton of discussion about this on the board so definitely do some more reading.

Agree with the all the above and Josh makes some great points.
If fueling DI only then I would go right to FIC +30's, LPE DI pump, and Aux low side if you don't mind tapping the tank. Or just go right to a Port injection system. I am basing this recommendation on the fact that you already have bigger plans churning in the back of your mind. The LT4 fueling won't be worth messing with on E unless you don't plan on making more then 600-620whp and even then you will likely be limited to E60 which is ok. E60 is really all you need, it just requires mixing a few gallons of 93 with the E85 when you fill up.

With Maggie shipments being delayed, I ended up just ordering a cam, LT4 injectors, LT4 HPFP and an XDI low side fuel system while I was at it. I also got a flex kit so we can build that into the tune while we are at it. Should make for a nice, reliable setup with room to grow if I wanted to later.
Now my concerns are finding traction (I'm on stock SS wheels and suspension). I've got another 2-3 months to obsess over it while I wait. Quote:

They actually started carrying E85 at a nearby station, so it has become a convenient option. Previously, it would have been a 15 min drive.

Follow-up on the project.
The 2650 is finally in along with a +32% cam and TSP stage 2 heads. Fuel is supported with LT4 HPFP and injectors along with the DSX low side and flex sensor. I sold the 95mm LT5 and used a 103mm Katech instead. We went with TSP LTs and a big gulp to keep air flowing. With the provided 110mm pulley, it put down 670 through an A8 at 6psi. I'd like to circle back once everything is broken in and bump that up to 10. It has good street manners and surprisingly nice fuel economy on the highway. But I do want to add a pair of resonators to take care of the rasp at 1700rpm (ie: part-throttle acceleration, where it is most annoying). It's not likely to see the track or any formal street racing, but it does put a smile on my face I'm very happy with the way this turned out.

Fantastic setup, congratulations. Extra kudos for the paint job, if it weren't for the Magnuson plates (and the etched Katech logo and the Roto-Fab label, haha) the setup would look 100% stock to an outsider
Mine put down 735 but that's at 10 psi with a Maggie 2300, yours will be way past that if you swap pulleys, hopefully your high side fueling will be enough. I also have the JMS voltage booster on the low side, but that may not even be relevant with the DSX. My fuel economy is also pretty nice, much better than a ZL1 (until I pull up to an E85 pump ). A few questions if you don't mind, where did you tuck away the flex fuel sensor? Is that it near the cowl between the coolant tank and the supercharger lid? Also, the big gulp looks a bit farther away from the air inlet than I'd expect, did you customize it in any way?

The flex fuel sensor ended up near the support bracket on the passenger side. It might be easier to see in this photo taken during installation. There is a small TB adapter between the 103mm Katech and the 90mm supercharger snout. My goal is to swap in a proper 103mm snout when we change the pulley ratio so that both can be incorporated into the next tune.

Mine also has a drone in the 1750-2200 range, so I've gotten into the habit of downshifting one gear and avoiding that range. There's a lot of posts here about failed efforts to eliminate this drone with mufflers and resonators.
