If the new model loses 300 lbs, gains the LT1, maintains its price point and still looks cool, than hell yes I'd consider trading.

I plan on keeping it at least until 2018-19. But I reserve the right to change my mind I do love shiny new things.

I hate to say it, but I tend to agree with you. Not that they look bad, but I'm interested to see what's next.

If I keep trading in Camaros, I won't be able to afford a nursing home.

Hard question to answer without seeing or driving a Gen6. It could be butt-ugly or could be exactly the look the Camaro needs for the future.

MY OWN guess? It'll have Camaro cues, but it's going to change a little on the body curves. And when it does, it'll be a 2014/15 taillight change. Some will hate it forever, some will hate it initially then accept it, and some will instantly love it.

Wherever it falls in that range will depend. I know one thing for sure, no matter what, I'll be keeping the ZL1. 1690 miles on it and it's barely broken in, literally.

But once it's released, Gen5 prices will drop even further than they are now, and the trade-ins will glut the used market as well. Great deals on Gen5s coming to a car lot near you...

I keep my vehicles until the cost of ownership outweighs the value of the vehicle.

So as long as the Camaro maintains a decent value, and it doesn't cost me more than 50% of that value in repairs and maintenance be it @ a one time repair or over the course of a year, I will keep the vehicle.

But the minute it appears the cost of the repair outweighs the value it's gone..

take for example my 1995 4Runner.. Value is about $4,000 on KBB, and it just blew a head gasket, the valve guides and valves are bent (246,000 miles) and the cams have stress cracks, needs rebuilt heads, cams, timing belt, and while the heads are a mere $600, with labor it is over $2,700.

Truck is now gone.. not worth repairing IMO.. Sold it for $2,200 as is.

I will keep mine, because I bought for the wife.. no need to change every few years.. keep it, drive it, build it, or just garage it..
