Well thank you and you're welcome. I enjoy making these concepts and it's good to know that others enjoy them too.

why does it have wheels? Shouldn't it have, like, some hover thrusters or something?

This version is a reach towards something conservative that's light, aerodynamic and fuel efficient. It may not work as a Camaro because it seems the Camaro crowd wants to drive a Japanese anime robot on wheels with all kinds of slots, grooves, "evil eyes" so they can be menacing and threatening while they drive. That's not me. I have no desire to be evil or menacing; I want a car that's beautiful, balanced, sleek and fun to drive. I believe the market for something elegant, fast and classy is bigger than the robot toy market so maybe this would work as a revived Corvair or a new category altogether. With Camaros moving upward in price they're starting to be out of reach for the entry level market, or "second car" market. If the work was put in to make it beautiful and aerodynamic; keep the gizmos and gadgets inside to a minimum so it would start at a price below $20k, I think there would be a pretty big market for it. This could be the car with a 4 or 6 cylinder engine, or even a hybrid that makes up for horsepower with light weight and a low drag coefficient. This car could be the entry level cousin to the Camaro...maybe a Cormaro, or Carvair lol. I don't know just an idea. I haven't put hardly any effort into the details other than sticking some lights on it. I haven't done anything yet with intakes, brake cooling intakes, there's no rear diffuser, no exhaust pipes, etc. I have an idea for different wheels as well. Right now this is mostly a shape concept with some of the elements being fairly crude at this stage. The focus of this is a street car; NOT a track car so I don't have a lot of aero pieces adding downforce at the expense of forward motion. I suppose those could be added later but that would be for aftermarket modding. This shape is optimized for low forward-motion resistance for straight-line performance and gas mileage which is more useful for typical around town and daily driving. If manufacturers have to produce cars that get over 50 mpg, this concept is intended to help towards that.

Put it in ye old garage environment...looks better this way. Did some work on the front lighting to get a better idea of how this setup would look. That whole corner is a lens; the top part for the headlight and the bottom part obviously for the running light/turn signal. I made the bottom part of the outside (orange lens) go downward to follow the body line but I'm not sold on that; I'll probably change it. I'm still working out what I want to do on the lower front so that's just kind of "there" at the moment. A few areas need more resolution to smooth out the curves, but otherwise the rest of the body is looking about right.

This is a bit of a departure from the sleek styles I've been working on. After spending some time staring at the pic that KMPrenger posted in another thread of the original 5th gen concept car, I decided to stop worrying about a retro-inspired design. That concept car is so close to perfect in the way it looks and stands that I honestly don't think that can be improved upon.
So this is a "muscle" car design and it has some Camaro-ish elements to it, but I didn't try and make it look like any particular previous generation. I took the basic elements that it seems most people want to see; beefy fenders, "hips" in the rear fenders, short back and long front, etc. and started with that. It's got a hefty stance to it and (to me anyways) it has a "GM" look to it. I'm still working on it and obviously there's room on the front fascia for fog lights and brake cooling ducts. The low front profile is achieved by having the radiator leaned forward. This style works well with dark colors and metallics; it's okay with certain light colors but seems to like bold colors the best.

I'm surprised. I thought I would have gotten at least some kind of reaction to this one. No one even hates it? Did I post this in the right forum?? lol

Made a couple of changes. Put a more defined line along the side of the body where the cut-in is; added front brake cooling ducts and/or fog light cutouts; made the Chevy logo smaller and moved it to the top of the front.

I love the c-pillar. It looks like an updated early gen. I think you nailed the side profile.
