MILEstone :)

Anyone else just gotta take pics at certain mileage? Silly I'm sure but I do

Finally hit that magic number and even though they don't "lock" the horsepower the car is definitely feeling stronger than that first 1,400 miles.

I'm jealous. Between the sub 20 degree temps, freezing rain, and snow, mine's been parked for over a week. With only 346 miles on it, it will be May or June before I hit the magic 1500.

I take mileage pics too.
I normally take one at 1k, 5k, 10k, 15k, etc.

In the great Canadian North the dealers are informing clients that the low temperature limit for these tires is no less than 7 degrees Celsius which converts to 44.6 degrees Fahrenheit. They say that the rubber can de-laminate / crack and cause failure. Dunno but thinking there are a lot of cars rolling around below those temps. Anybody else hear this or is it urban legend?

I don't understand why people up north buy these high performance cars during cold season when they can't really drive them and make payments on them. Why can't you buy it end of spring?

Dealer had one allocation. I traded in a 2013 ZL1 who's value was going down by the day. If I wanted one, I figured I better get it now while one was available, I had the cash and the trade-in value on my old ZL1 was at it's highest point in time. I knew full well I wasn't going to be driving it much during the winter. I just didn't expect it to turn this cold this early. Plus it's kind of fun to bitch about the weather.

If the tire warning is the same as the 5th gen, it is don't drive below 40 and don't store below 20.

"R" compound tires shouldn't be stored below 20F or driven below 40F.
