I havent paid any attention so who is winning?
Who is winning the sales race now with the 2015 Mustang against the Camaro's?
Im not impressed with the new Mustang personally, they are great cars but I think Ford could have done better IMO. I havent paid any attention and Im just curious. |

Mustang is winning as can be expected with an all new anything going against cars well into their 5 or so model years. If you havent seen the new mustang in person go and look at one they look much better in person. Huge chevy fan here but ford has delivered a modern and refined mustang both inside and out. I have no fear though the new camaro is right around the corner and im confident they'll meet and exceed what ford has done with the mustang.

If you like Ford's company "fusion" front end look, then the Mustang is for you.
I have seen a couple up close at SEMA, and Mustang doesn't do much for me.... |

If the new Mustang looks more euro that was Ford's intention. The goal was to go for the new M3. Hence the new IRS and different shaped car. I dig it and it's nice inside too. More than likely all the automakers are going to get away from all out HP to well rounded cars that brake, handle and still have some go. All in a balanced package.
Don't fear it, this can be a good thing. |

We've got two '15 Stangs in for installations and seeing them up close I dislike them even more than I did from the photos. Ford took a huge step backward in the styling of those.

I have seen the V6 and V8 and the GF and i don't like it 2014 looked better.
BTW all the 2014 discounts drove the sales increase, the new car is a heavy dud.

To me they look like Ford tried to make an updated Fastback. Just didn't do so well at the attempt though. But looking at what the Gen 6 is going to look like Chevy messed that up.

The Mustang is the most fresh so it's the "gotta have" just like the Camaro was in late 2009.

new mustangs look pretty sharp, but I'm holing out for the 2016 Camaros, although the switching to a small block scares me :(

I'm not too surprised, as others that the Muatang is taking a lead with sales, all things considering. I've seen a few in person and I like what I see. I just don't like the way the nose transitions to the hood. Something about it doesn't seem seamless to me. Other than that, I'm very disappointed that Ford didn't depart further from it's previous designs. If they wanted to make an all-new Mustang, they should have done so and made the design different than tradition. I for one have absolutely zero love for drag racing and much prefer the twisties - which would almost seem counterintiutive considering the cars I've owned over the years. But each one was setup to take turns, not just go fast in a straight line.
I'm very interested to see how the GT350 compares to the more track ready Z/28. I know on each side of the fence, they believe their car is superior, I'm just happy to see the competition going on in the first place.

It certainly wasn't when the 1LE made it look silly... IMO: Ford made a slower, less responsive, uglier and heavier version of the Mustang and called it "new". |
