Finally, after months and months of this crap. They are fixing my grind for a second time. Got the call today. All it took was a blown engine compliments of a botched Walmart oil change new engine install which Walmart is paying for... So tranny going out tomorrow to see what needs to be replaced. I might get a new clutch... Here's hoping that the insides are so needed up I get a new tranny.. Brand new engine and tranny would be great

Not on the V6. The carbon synchros were an update on the V8 from what I understand.

Guess my dealer didn't tell me the truth. Can you provide me with some part numbers?

Mach I fought with GM forever as far as I know no carbon is used. 2011Camaro must have gotten a custom fix.

Same here. I checked so many sources and asked many.. There is no updated parts. The V6 doesn't have carbon sychros.

I even hooked up my service advisor with 2011Camaro's service manager to see what fix they did to his car. No LUCK! 2011Camaro's service guy will not return calls. Oh well... I gave up on this. I have IdealG's Master Cylinder and no more grind and butter smooth shifts with my barton shifter.

It's really frustrating when one person gets a fix and they treat my problem like its normal. Very unfair of you GM!!!

Hey all, as an FYI, in February of 2012, they came out with an updated M6 tranny that has carbon synco's and definitely other improvements as well. The field engineer picked up a tranny right off the line in Oshawa and brought it to my dealer. I have had it back with the brand new tranny since Thursday, and there has been huge improvements. Gearing down is easy, with little or no resistance.

NO GRINDING AT ALL.

They have yet to change any part numbers yet. I think they are verifying it has been fixed before the numbers get changed.

So I took my car to a new dealership today and they told me that they are going to drop the transmission to see if there is anything they can do. Gosh I hope they give me a whole new tranny.

Don't hope for one, tell them you know there is a new tranny design, and DEMAND a new one!
