Every time I start to have a grinch moment this year I think of the families in Newtown who have to suffer through this holiday season with presents that will never be opened under their tree, and all of a sudden, my problems have absolutely zero significance.
Hug the people you love and don't sweat the small stuff.

I have one every year I have to go to the store during the time frame from Thanksgiving to Christmas eve. There is just something about that 30 day span in which peoples true colors come out and the "Me" mentality takes over.

I can't stand Christmas music anymore. It's always the same songs, sung by different people who put there own spin on it. The female singers are the worst, the unneeded pitch changes to fill in the song destroy it.

I feel like an absolute grinch but it's just like when radio stations play the same songs over an over, you start changing the station as soon as the song starts.

maybe im a bit jaded but feel, why after 40 years are two side of the family that could never play nice for the holidays when we were little and it mattered, suddenly want to do this when were adults?

as now I don't want to share my xmas with strangers I must fake smile at, run out last min and get a fake gift for, smile like I won't be tossing their gift right in the trash when no one is looking, make small talk about nothing..........

Ill send my gift along for those I consider my family but Im not going

It's all good. I agree with post number two. Nothing can top that

We have had a few disapointments this year, but they amount to trivial

It's hug time

I love seeing my family on Christmas. We eat, we laugh, we exchange gifts, we watch movies, and we eat again....and for this I am grateful.
