I hear you. And anyone who uses that second one for a Convertible Camaro should probably be locked up.

I think the difference is that Vette to my knowledge as long as I can remember has always been the acceptable "shortened" name for Corvette. However "Vert" is just being lazy while typing. It's a made up word on forums so you don't have to type out Convertible. At least I have never heard anyone refer to their Convertible outside this forum as a Vert. But I hear everyone that owns a Corvette outside the forums refer to their car as a Vette.

Go on Google and ask "What is a Vette". Then ask Google "What is a "Vert". One you get the "Shortened name for Corvette" The other you get a vegetation bearing green leaves. As mentioned earlier.. Vert is just being lazy typing on a forum...

There's a limited number of characters available in the description, so you probably couldn't have spelled out Anniversary anyway

Does it matter when the world is about to turn our dream rides in too. Should is use the E.V.'s Or Electric blood sucker. Call it what you want we'll catch the words.

Is your car really going to be built soon, or is that wishful thinking? I thought the strike was postponing assemblies?

I know I heard vert when I was showing my C4 Corvette back in the mid to late 90s (almost 30 years ago) but, the Corvette forums were around then as well and it could have started with all the short hand online as someone else stated.

Worth a read:

Anal retentiveness
Freudian term for obsessive attention to detail

No thanks. it's just a weird, tacky term for convertible.
