Some really great deals have been made. I looked at a '10 RS/SS with 6700 miles and no sunroof and the dealer wouldn't budge at 31k. Maybe it depends on the region you live in, how desperate the dealership is to move the car. Or maybe my bargaining skills need to be tuned up a bit.

I know Hennessy Motors in Georgia had two 2ss RS verts for 31-33 thousand. Maybe check with them.

They do have a Silver 2011 2SS Vert right now for $31,900. Don't know if that is something you would care for and it is mid 20's on the mileage but I was dealing with them before I found mine in Houston and he will find you what you want. They had a couple recently with mileage in the mid teens.

Thanks, I don't think I want to consider one with more than 10k miles on it which is why I thought this orange one I found for $32 was a good deal.

I don't think you will find a Vert for 32 with that few miles but if you really want a Vert in that range you might have to go with 15 thousand miles. But again maybe not. Just give them a call and see if they can find something for you

That's the offer I've been referring to. It's a 2011 Convertible 2SS/RS Automatic with 8,700 miles for $32,000. They are offering to pay off my 2LT at $27,000 so I'd be moving from a $28K loan at 0% on the V6 to a ~$32K loan at 2.9% on the V8.

Yeah, the first offer I mentioned was a coup but I found the vert last night. I'm tormenting myself right now deciding on what I should do.

It's not a bad deal, but it's also not a good deal. The KBB value for retail is right around $33K. I think $30K would be a good deal for that model and mileage.

I got mine for 31K at 5800mi, so maybe you can get a bit better.

I think I'm done though. There are too many "books" out there and the estimates are all over the place. Dealer agreed they would offer payoff for my 2LT this morning and now he's backing down on that (estimating -$1500) with the promise to reconsider after I drive 4 hours so they can see the condition of the car. That's BS, you commit to payoff like you stated this morning unless I show up and you can specifically point out why the car isn't in "clean" condition.

Not happening. I've been discussing this with my wife and thinking it over based on that conversation and now they seem a little upset that I'm not driving over tonight. It's all BS.

I know it is tough but I think if you stick with it then it will work out for you. You have a beautiful car already so you don't need to rush. Just keep looking, but not killing yourself, and whem the right one comes along then jump.
