You're right, there is a law in Quebec - Dec. 15th to Mar. 15th. so I've got plenty of time, but one morning the roads were a little frosty when I left the house and I could definately feel it on the PZeros.

I've never driven with Summer tires, much less when the temps start to drop so I'm not sure if waiting it out till the first snowfall with accumulation (or Dec 15th whichever comes first) is the best idea.

Any car I've had before, I just ran all seasons year-round until the snow tire law started a couple years ago... then I would put them on and take them off right on the allowable dates.

By the way, did you ever contacted member ladyblack, Denis and Marianne are living in Maniwaki and are very fine freinds and their Camaro is something special. look for member ladyblack

Thanks for the info..
Yeah, your right you can certainly "feel" the PZeros act differently as the temp. plummets and no I would not wait until until there is accumulation as I don't think the PZeros will be safe to drive on in those conditions,
and as I am typing I can see a couple of S@#W flakes falling...
Definitely time to put vert into storage.

No I haven't, but I also haven't really looked at the regional forums, other than a quick scan, until today. I didn't realize there were so many members not so far away!

The weather's looking good for the weekend so that's the plan for now. I went with Replika M6 rims (19") with Pirelli Scorpion Ice/Snow tires... I know the wheels probably won't hold up to the Winter conditions, but they weren't much more than the steelies I've seen so I figured why not ... Cell pics so they're not great:

Your Winter rims look great. and will look fantastic on the car.
I agree with you, I would choose the styling over steelies if the price was close as well.

Just do a search by typing laval you'll find a thread with Laval Meet and Greets.... we are around 20 members from the Montréal area posting on a daily basis for different things. Have a good read.

Those are some nice wheels. I picked up an extra set of factory rims from a member in the U.S. for $700.00 and bought some 20" Scorpion Ice and Snow. So far I'm impressed.

Not in full hibernation yet... but might as well be. Taking the wheels off to take care of some road rash. And picking up a Porter Cable and doing this waxing gig right this winter. No half-ass nothin! Gonna be a show-room queen by spring once again! lol

Got our first real snow in Ottawa today and so far the SS is handling it well, the car seems up to the task. As long as you have a set of winter tires and you drive according to the conditions, there should be no real problems. I'm still selling the winter tires and rims off my 2LT in the marketplace if you know anyone in Ottawa/NCR looking to buy.
