501rwhp Auto SS vs Cam Z06
Its not a question of if I would win obviously but what it would take and if it would be worth it to even try. My goal is to have 550RWHP and trailing arms; supsension bushings in differential and rear cradle; and Nitto 555rs on my 20's for street use. I have debated janetty 2800 torque converter but dont want it to work against me. Just wondering here guys!

I would have to agree with that. Most likely a C6 Zo6 with a cam will have all the other supprting bolt ons so it will be putting out some serious power in a 3200lb car. I think 600RWHP would be more like your goal.

just like the others, 550whp in a full weight camaro will have a hard time beating a stock c6z06. I was a a LSX dyno day and a cam only c6z put down 541whp

yeah c5 or c6... huge difference there.... you may need a couple extra hundred horsepower to your original guess. I have seen a cam only c6 z06 put down 600 rwhp.

I have seen a test recently of a C5 Z06 bone stock with plenty of miles on it putting down 385 at the rear wheels...with a cam I bet it would be much more so I would not discount a C5 Z06 with a cam either.

Kool thanks guys. I do not plan to go over 550rwhp so I just know its a waste of my time to even line up against one. I do have one floating around locally I may can hook up with um one weekend and just see how many links behind I can manage???

Don't feel discouraged. A cammed ls7 vette will pull 99.9% of cars you see. They are seriously bad ass machines.

You'll need well past 600whp to even have a fighting chance against a decently cammed C6 Z06. You'd have to be closer to the 700whp mark. This is assuming both cars can actually hook up.

A stock Z06 would be a close race with about 530-550rwhp in a camaro, if they both hooked decent. When I was picking up my car at LPE there was a cammed C6 Z06 putting out 600hp to the wheels - that might a little tough to catch
