Rear Diff drainplug rubber washer

Does anyone know the replacement part for the rubber washer on the rear diff? Mine is so smashed down it was leaking.

I don't know the OEM # and believe you may be buying the plug as well to get it. This is what I've been using:
(10 gaskets now for about $11 bucks)

Are you using this only on the diff plug or elsewhere as well? How often are you changing the fluid, and how often do you swap out the washer?

Mine was leaking from the plug, the washer was so crushed down it wasn't sealing. So I just ordered a pack of these and will swap them out each time I flush it. I've just been doing mine once a year.

Just on the Diff plugs. The first Diff drain/flush I reused the OEM ones as is. Since I've done 7-8 more Diff fluid changes because I track my car. I believe I change them each time, or at least put the better of the two up at the fill, and replace the lower drain plug gasket.

Sounds good - thank you.

It's an old thread, but I want to make sure that the Dorman gasket, 097-139, perfectly fits in our differential drain plug(GM Part # 55573646)?

Shit, I've changed my Differential fluid 4 times already (I'm now at 10,000 miles (changed at 505, 1,500, 5,975 & 9,468 miles)), I guess I didn't even realize there is a replaceable rubber washer on there... No leaks at this time...
