This is a perfect example of how seeking help on a forum can get very complex , when there is no reason for it. Greg, this is nothing against you, but when you called the shop and asked for something very specific you left out a whole lot of pertinent info.

You need to put miles on your car anyways, so hop in and drive it over to us. We don’t need to put it on the dyno, we can plug in our software and take it for a drive and let you know if there are any issues. The fact that you do not have any codes showing ( although you might have some in the background) makes it unlikely that the dealership will solve your issues.

I would venture to say that we will know exactly what is going on in less than 15min.

At that point if we know everything is safe, we can load it up, strap it down and provide some dyno data for you.

If I had to provide an internet guess, I would say that your ZL1 is operating in the low octane table.

Yes, when I contacted you guys via email, I kept it short and sweet. I didn’t want to bog you down with details and and just figured I’d give you all the info when we get to talk… You guys were awesome to kindly agree to look at my car!!! I TOTALLY APPRECIATE you agreeing to help me and I’m VERY GRATEFUL!!! I’m trying to get at least 500 miles on the car and then I’ll definitely get it up to you. I’ll call you soon. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Who should I ask for when I call to set up an appointment? It probably won’t be for a week or two? THANKS AGAIN!!!

Just check in with me, since your driving it will be weather dependent.

If your available this Saturday, we have a cars and coffee event down town Rockford. We had over 100 Camaros and 400 Cars total show up in total last year.

Hi Nickey, Unfortunately I have to work Saturday and can’t make cars and coffee, definitely sounds like a fun event, thanks for the invite!

Had the car out again yesterday and today, finally got over 500 miles and can taker her over 4000 RPM. I did a couple 5th gear pulls on the highway from like 80 mph. My boost gauge climbs to about 9.5 PSI, holds for a bit and then works it’s way down to 7.5 PSI and seems to hold there as RPM’s climb…. I’m currently running 93 octane.

It’s going into Chevy Tuesday for its first free oil change and would then like to get it up to your shop ASAP for a look. Can I just swing in or should I make an appointment to leave the car. THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH in advance for agreeing to help with my issues!!!!

You need to make an appointment, but since it shouldn't take to long to figure out what is going on we are flexible and will check it out while you wait. Call the shop and set it up with Beth. 630-377-1222.

I’m following this thread. You’ll soon be having one of their packages installed and it won’t be low on power anymore. I wish I lived closer to a reputable shop. Good luck.

FWIW, couple of videos so you can compare your boost gauge.

M6 - go to 3:34 in this video.

Haha, yes, you might be right about that! A nice Stage 2 package… Maybe next year.

Wow, that definitely helps! I tried to shoot a video of my gauge today but it was way to shaky to see. My boost starts about where those cars were but then sometimes falls to the thick 7.5 PSI hash mark. I think at this point I’m just going to stop driving it until Nickey takes a look. It sounds like they can probably diagnose it pretty easily. Im VERY THANKFUL they have agreed to look at my car. Thanks for the video.

I just picked up my 2023 ZL1 last week and I'm in the same boat (which led me to this forum) So thank you for your post!

Traded my 2021 2SS 1LE 10 speed in for a 2023 ZL1 10 speed. I just passed 300 miles on it and have only taken it from 3k rpm to 4k (maybe a little higher lol) in 3rd and 4th gear.

I have to say, I feel like it's no faster than the 2SS 1LE I traded. Seems like 200hp would be noticeable in the driver seat.

I suppose I need to burp the intercooler since I'm seeing only 7.5 ish on the boost gauge during those pulls.

However, I was told by the dealer that after 500 miles I'd see message on the display and would see a night and day difference in the performance. Having read this thread, I see that's not the case.

Anyway, I'm following this thread in anticipation. So please post your findings, I may need to make a trip from the 314 up to Nickey.
