Track addict or Harry's lap timer
What kind of reviews do you guys have on these apps. What's better for HPDE and what Bluetooth dongle are you using. I went with this one

You have 1 of these apps, and then need a Bluetooth device to plug in to obd2 port and then use your phone to record driving on the track in the app and it will display some vehicle info along with the track map and gps follows you throughout on the map. Pretty sweet.

TrackAddict is a 1000 times better. I've had both for more than four years. I still use TrackAddict. Harry's lap timer I used once.

Does it have to be a phone or can you dedicate a small iPad? Don’t know if you need the cellular data for the gps to work.

Why is track addict better, can you shed some light?

I tried track addict back in 2009/2010 and did not have good reaults. I tried several others and had some good results with Harryis but still has issues. I ended up searching again and Track Addict has a lot of good reviews and strong following so I have it another try. I really like it and they definitely took care of all the issues I had back in the day. I used to have three or four apps because they were so unreliable from event to event but now I have just Track Addict. For me the UI is simpler and it always records the track properly and never fails to start or finish at the start/finish lines.
