I may do the same. 50th Anniversary should be something special. We'll see...

You do realize the new Gen 5 LT1 has AFM and VVT right? The C7 Corvette will have this motor.

yup...AFM is in the mix, that's why the LT1 MPG can go to 26, and the TT DI 3.6 L will come our way as well. This game changing motor scheme ain't gonna be your father's Oldsmobile. Welcome to the future.

We don't really know much about the 6th gen yet. Right now I'd rather trade up to either a 1LE or ZL1 (or Z28?) rather than go to the 6th gen.

It sounds like the 6th gen is going to pay homage to CAFE standards, and I'd rather my performance-car money be spent on performance.

Going with a Porsche 997 Turbo variation. Chevrolet should take a cue from Porsche... don't F_-_- with the design. I don't like these every few years changes. I thought the Mustang when it came out in 2005 was something I was going to get in because it looked like a Boss 302, but they started messing around with the design these past few years, and I really don't dig them. Next iteration of the Mustang is going to be a Mustang II King Cobra with 14" rims.

Me?

Very likely to buy. And I'd want all the gadgets, looks, and technology they could pile into it.

But what style? base T4? If there is one...V6? Convertible, Coupe? Z28, SS, ZL1? Too little known to even guess...but the Cobalt will need replacement within 4 years...

An aside: The exterior look that creates "terrible blind sports" and an "impractical trunk" are all part of what make this car a Camaro...and not a Malibu. I have faith the Camaro team knows that, and will do whatever it takes to keep the 6th-gen car true to what Camaro is.

...but, the rear camera is state of the art, crystal clear and sharp, with little diamond red icons that warns one of stuff, ... even if it's not there....totally awesome! Yes, rear traditional turn the head vision is restricted, but the mirrors can compensate for that. The body is wiiiiide, and the mirrors protrude even wider, so close proximitey objects and usual clearance distance references from what one is usually used to is a bit challenging with this body. But, the styling cues, shape, and overall function made it necessary to have us give up a little to get alot IMHO.

...no, they are points of contention I agree. I'm not big on trunk space needed, but the 2012 ZL1 I have with a real functioning trunk is much welcomed after the impracticle composite hatch I had on my 2002 SS 35th Anniversary Camaro. The F body got to a point of being irrelevant.
