Hi guys. Just got my first paint chip !!!!! Right above the right/rear wheel. Hard to imagine how that happened. But the paint is gone, down to bare metal. At least there is no dent on the metal.

I took a picture of the sticker in the driver’s door jam and the one under the hood. I want to make sure I am not loosing my mind....... I don’t see a paint code anywhere on these stickers !!!

Can someone confirm the paint code on this website is correct?

They say it’s G7C or WA130X. I guess GM has two names for it.

That QR barcode on the second sticker is the RPO SPID label now. Won't find the traditional one like in that link above. All 2018 cars (except Corvette) its in the QR barcode. A phone QR reader can read it.

Thank you for the detailed explanation and the links. I ordered the paint from this morning. Should be here by the end of next week hopefully. I also purchased the langka paint system to get rid of the extra paint that is sure to be there after I touch it up.

I decided to spend the 3K to have the high impact areas clear bra and the whole car ceramic coated. Too much anxiety worrying about paint chips.

Don't be surprised to see Chevy call it "Pull me over Red".....Found this out when I had my Red Hot '15 SS/1LE and went to get touch up paint. Had O'reilly's make me a rattle can and got the left over in a can.

lift up the trunk floor cover, there is all the codes on the silver sticker, paint code is on the bottom, BC CC is base coat clear coat. This is my red hot 2016.

You’re absolutely right about the “Pull me over red”. That is what GM calls it. I wonder were the “Red Hot” name came from??! I’m curious to know.
