brake fluid for track days

Can anyone tell me if it's OK to run DOT4 brake fluid in my 2018 ZL1?
I can't find a DOT 3 with high dry and wet boiling points like in DOT 4. There is no mention of anything other than GM DOT 3 in owners manual and performance supplement.
My car has the 10 speed automatic.
Thanks

Dot 4 is not only ok, it is recommended by GM if you plan on tracking it.
I use Motul RBF600

^ What Eric said. I've also been using Motul RBF600 in all of my previous track cars and have never had issues.

DOT 4 is preferred. GM puts DOT 4 in their Police cars but not their performance cars. DOT 5 is the one to stay away from.

That's what I was using in my 16 Vette, It's still weird that GM has all the DOT 3 stuff on the cap and in the book, I even went to dealer here in town and got a big bunch of nothing from service and parts guys. I will also be changing brake pads to Carbotech XP 12's along with the brake fluid to the Motul RBF 600 before first track outing. Thanks ! Tom

A10 ZL1 here as well -- Just did a track day and I also run Motul RBF600 in my setup on an otherwise OEM car.

I had 2300 miles on them going in to the day and they seem to be just fine as of now... I'll see about taking some pics tonight/tomorrow of them and post up..

But, I never had any fade on the pads all day and they were always there when i needed them.

Same here. I am switching out my dot 3 for Dot 4 Motul 600 which is recommended for tracking and for street use.
You might want to consider at some point swapping out the rubber brake lines for some stainless steel braided lines which will give you a firmer pedal too.

Right about 2pints for home. Dealer used about 2.5 pints when they do it.
