Open-minded Camaro reboot concept
For people who demand a Camaro be 2-door, useless rear seats, RWD, V8 in front, rides 2 inches off the ground, etc. this thread may not be for you.
So a future Camaro I could accept would be this: A bit on the El Camino concept only instead of a small rear truck bed(used mostly for hauling empty beer cans), this would be a vehicle with more of an off-road emphasis. If Sport Utility Vehicles were actually sporty. You don't have to be on perfectly paved roads. You can drive in snow. AWD is an option. Delete the rear "seats" for more trunk space. The car pictured is obviously electric and I'm NOT pushing that. But it's overall look is what I expected the Mach E would look like instead of a lame family car. But it sits very close to what I'm imagining. I love the overall look. |

The problem with this rendering is it isn't a Camaro.
A nice car, maybe, but nothing about is Camaro, from the front section, the wheel arches, rear quarters, roofline, glass all the way to side "mirrors" and even the wheels. So it's an electric car all right, but not a Camaro, that nameplate doesn't belong on it in any way. I know you labeled this an "open-minded" Camaro concept, but there is a limit to how far that association can be taken to even make sense.

Keeping an open mind, it looks like the owner got lost, walked away and left it. The cold weather and keeping the cabin heater on cut the range way down unexpectedly, and there's no place to charge up. Better chance it on foot than freeze to death in the car.
This could be a new Camaro as well... Last edited by 90503; 08-12-2023 at 11:28 AM. |
