Camaro sales were fleet heavy in 2016..I do not think it is a coincidence that there was a large increase three years later, especially given the "refresh". How do we obtain the fleet data?

We have this. Where do you fine Camaro was heavy fleet in 2016? Camaro dropped in 2016 at the same time fleet went to ~2%

They may be out selling the Camaro but what kind of future does the Challenger really have . The Camaro is so far ahead of the curve with platform ,pricing and surviving with lower sales that the future is playing into GMs hands . I don't think the Challenger can survive as a stand alone car not based on a retro design. Right now its cheap to throw more HP and add new colors to the Challenger but the market is changing and its going to take more . If there is a next gen Challenger i see it being smaller and more expensive which may not be good for them . With the Mustang going to a SUV platform and more then likely a bigger car which may not help there sales either. I think the future of Camaro looks really good in comparison .
These cars nowadays almost make it impossible for gear heads to rip into them unless you have a lot of money to cover the warranty you loose .

Mine was one of those 12,083 Camaros. The 2019 refresh is THE reason why I ordered a new Camaro.

I travel a lot for work and have seen at least 4 Camaro SS's at Hertz Boston almost every week for the past 6 weeks. Seems like the fleet percentage could be high in Q1 if other Hertz locations/other rental car companies are purchasing Camaros as well, but hard to tell based on one airport/rental car company.

Well, maybe it’s me, but I very rarely see a gen 6 camaro in Mass. Never mind a 2019, which I’ve seen a total of one on the road. There’s only a few dealers that have more than a couple on their lot at any given time.

I don't believe that. I think we have more youngsters buying ricers now and those of us who have owned all 3 (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger) are moving up to either a Vette, GTR, Porsche.



It's all relative based on income. Soon all these ricer boys will grow up, their next move will be to Camaro, Mustang due to income increases, then they'll outgrow those cars and move to Vettes, whatever. And it just recycles.



I will prob never go back to a Camaro or Mustang, unless the 500 is balls ass crazy. I just bought another GT-R as I'm back in that platform again. But, for me, I'm changing a bit, getting older. I'm leaning towards Bentley, Mercedes, Aston Martin as my next car.

Retail sales and especially ATP can be very misleading.

Yes, it tells you who is paying more for the car and it can indicate fleet sales vs. retail.

What it doesn't tell you at all is the profitability of the car. If you don't know the cost the build the higher ATP Camaro vs the Mustang you have no idea what the business impact is. Mustang may have a lower ATP, but they may also have a significantly lower cost to produce and maybe and higher margin.

For sure, GM is paying way more than Ford and Fiat for per car to cover health care and pensions. A LOT more. Plus the Alpha architecture is more expensive than the Mustang and we simply don't know the cost of LGR vs. Flat Rock.

They are good indicators, but we don't know near enough to tell the story.

Difficult to say Challenger and Charger will be killed in future as only main lineup for Dodge. There is another rumor that said FCA is working hybrid or electric power in future like GM and Ford doing.

Consider Camaro suffering sales trouble by new platform, FCA doesn't consider to share new platform "Giorgio" which is Alfa Giulia platform and never share Maserati M156 for next gen Dodge twice.
