Don't get me wrong, the new Mustang is a great looking car honestly. But that vert top completely obliterates the cars original lines with a hefty dose of don't-give-a-f**kery. Those covers look awkward to say the least. Is it really that big of an improvement versus just leaving the arms exposed?

Overflow and I rented a Mustang last month and it's really not a big deal to have the mechanism exposed. Barely noticed to be honest.

Looks like some kind of special wheels on the convertible Camaro doesn't it?

Are you planning to upgrade from the HWSE?

Never have been a fan of convertibles but this gen 6 car seems to be made for it. It looks awesome. But I'll stick with my coupes! I hope yall enjoy I though cause it really looks great.

So according to this tweet it looks like the convertible is being revealed next week! The video clip also shows that you can put the top down while driving at a decent speed.

Convertible looks awesome.....Too bad though tomorrow's reveal was spoiled already...or maybe not...

It could have been a pre-authorized, internal only, no fine-print, scheduled leak of the convertible info....Apparently no repercussions or hammers-down on this one....

....Definitely a good looking car and fun to see pics whatever the source...

I saw no reason to trade in my 2011 until I saw this convertible. It's very sleek looking...can not wait to see and drive one !!

But honestly, I don't think the opening could get any smaller than on the coupe. Plus, if the interior pic Angrybird posted is legit, it looks like the new vert may have a folding rear seat. I saw this set up on an Audi a few years back and I griped that GM didn't do something like that. Looks like they went from a mediocre top design to best in class. I wonder if the price for the vert is going to jump vs. 5th gen. It looks like a lot more expensive hardware.

What makes you think it will have a folding rear seat? I doubt seriously it will.

I doubt it as well. If I could find the interior pictures from a while ago that first hinted at a convertible, the one thing I noticed is that the picture from the coupe had a visible seat back release loop between the rear seats, and the view of the convertible did not.

I posted the convertible interior pic earlier. Here it is again. I like where it says Camaro on the tonneau between the rear seats.

The high split line on the seat back makes it look like it folds. The split line could be there for other reasons though, I don't see a seat release either.

Regardless, the top and tonneau cover look like a huge improvement.
