Yep I’m staying stock converter for sure.

Amazing results. Looks to lose nothing down low. 60ft should stay in the 1.5 range.

I would think this could push a car into the low 10s on a stock converter ? With 100 hp gain I don’t see why not if the 60 stays as good as stock cam...

Curious as to the reasoning of you switching up to the 2 inch kooks from the 1 7/8s I’ve heard that the two inch is really only for if your doing forced induction? Also would like to say congrats and thank you for all that you do for us

I have run 2" headers from day one. I always suggest 2" headers as well. From bolt on's to boost. I have not seen them hurt anything. I cut 1.57 60fts in my car on 28" tires and on "my" record bolt on Grand Sport we have seen 1.55 60ft's.

Switching up on this car was not my idea. I was going to leave the 1 7/8" but the owner had already ordered them when he brought the car.

Considering on a 26" tire you will be in the mid 6K rpm range by the 60ft I think you will actually see a slight reduction in 60ft. This thing should mph like a big dog on the stock converter. It would be very interesting to see what this package would do on your car. It should trap mid 130's for sure.

No Sir, no shop. I have a regular job and do this in my "spare time" out of one stall in my two car garage. Old school, off my back on jacks ands kind of stuff. I am just a small fry in a big pond.

Nice numbers, but my understanding is there is no benefit to NA cars using stock compression ratios after about E40.

Does this car have a motor build?

SBE stock compression. I have tested E40 on multiple cars at different levels of modifications. I see around 15rw on E40, 25rw at E72-77, and up to 30rw around E88 or so. The stock cam retards 10* by 5,700 rpm. That drops DCR from 9.76 up till 3,200 in a liner fashion to 9.1 DCR by 5,700. The extra oxygen and octane can and will be utilized with proper timing adjustments to burn it. But that is just my experience.

Compression wise, what do you think you can get away with on a stock bottom end and still be within reason as far as able to run 93 octane if you got in a pinch?

i don't drive mine but 2k miles a year so added compression is not a problem other than if i took it on the power tour or something.
With your current knowledge, what is your suggested setup for a situation as far as parts and type of mods to get there?

What this should say is:
I know what I'm doing, and I don't blow smoke up anyone's ass.

What kind of oil are you running for most of these setups?
