Upgrading the oil pump, anything else to consider?
I'm planning to upgrade to the Melling oil pump and a baffled pan. What else is recommended to upgrade while I have the timing chain cover off? Seems like a lot of work to not upgrade more while it's all apart.

Sounds like its time for a new cam while you doing this. Other wise I would recommend a Katech C5R timing chain.

Thanks for the info. The timing chain was my first thought. I see on JDP's website that they also sell an RSH block and 3-bolt conversion kit. Do either of these apply to what I'm doing?
