I thought about doing this to my car, but I would just get another hood, cause if I didn't like it I don't think having the SGM painted back on will be easy or cheap..

I actually prefer the wrap over paint. Ease of replacement. The flat look Is better imho. And I can change it up if I wanted.

I can see the paint getting chipped. And because it's matte, clear bra won't be an option.

But whatever works for you.

I'd like to see the pics - I'm thinking of having my hood painted Tuxedo Black...it'll match the sweet sparkle of the Crystal Red Tintcoat.

My Xpel film installer advised me that they do have flat film if I wanted my hood wrapped. I haven't seen it in person, but he said if I had the entire hood wrapped you wouldn't be able to tell. Anyone else try this?

I've not seen any matte/satin.

As for maint, no wax on or wax off with the wrap. Simply wash and dry.

And don't touch with oily fingers or hope a bird doesn't POOP on it, or accidently get a tad of wax on it. :( Sorry not a Wrapped hood fan :( Love my 1LE but not the wrapped hood.
