Picking Up 2017 SS Tomorrow
I'm going to check out a 2017 SS tomorrow, coming from a 2011 Mustang. It's a CPO with 6k miles. Just wanted to introduce myself and see if there is anything specific I should look out for? Thanks in advance, and look forward to joining the community!

Welcome.
I am confused. "Picking up" or "checking out"? Either way, I do not think you will be disappointed. At least the Camaro does not like stationary onlookers to try to hunt down....LOL J/K

You may want to post in Camaro6, this is Camaro5 for 5th gen Camaros. Camaro6 will provide you with more information from people that own 6 th gen Camaros.

Its an awesome ride. Rented one a few months back, had lots of fun in it.
Had it long enough to make a comparison to my own ride. It was an A8, yet my M6 felt stronger and it felt like mine kicked more g's in... although could have been an illusion with the quieter exhaust on the 2017 SS than on my ride. In the end though, even though it was a great experience, it had me thinking how completely satisfied I am with my modded 2010 SS M6. Here are some shots; |

If you like to Drag Race make sure you get the A8, those cars are fast stock.

Even the hoodline from the driver's seat looks weird. It looks very rounded when you're sitting inside, but has these creases in it which makes it look angular from the outside. The hoodline on the 5th gen was just about perfect. It had that classic cowl hood bulge in the center and the front fenders curved just ever so slightly upward. |

They are great cars. Handle very good, fast but,,,,,I just like the looks of the 5th gen better. looks like the 69. the 6th gen does not even look like a Camaro. Too European

It would have been cool if they used something closer to the '13 body style on the 6th gen. The 5th gen has a classic style that is still progressive. That classic feel seems to have been left out of the 6th gen. Still a fantastic car, just a different audience. JMHO

The weight loss targets that the Alpha platform achieved were attainable with Zeta II. Heck, just going to an aluminum front engine cradle and major suspension components probably would have saved 150-200 lbs easy. Going with a Zeta II revision would've have been a lot cheaper for GM. The Alpha platform is too compromised in rear seat interior leg room. Even the platform engineers realized this, but it was just too late to fix it on the Camaro. |

Congrats (assuming you picked up the '17 SS). It is a great performing car.
I rented a 2017 SS (convertible) out in Santa Monica for a weekend trip. I was impressed with it. Felt quicker than my stock '13 (as it should). It did well on Mulholland. |

Gen6 is capable of hitting ~200 MPH on the track straight off the assembly line in Camaro ZL1 flavor. GEN5 hits an aerodynamic wall which takes massive massive amounts of HP to battle that. Congratulations OP, hope the car is everything you dreamed it would be and more ;-)
