At work in a meeting. After the meeting you could hear people talking about what was going on. Walked into another room where we had a TV and couldn't believe what I was watching.

Well, at three years old I don't quite remember the attack, but I can't deny the respect I have for all those who served on that day.

Was working from home that day and on a conference call with my boss, had the TV muted on the Today show when they started to report the first plane. I mentioned it on the call and my boss kids me about having the TV on - we were still on the call when the 2nd plane hit and I told all on the call.....we all knew then that these were no accidents.

I was in a meeting at work and when I got back to my office my co-workers let me know what was going on. No TV around so we tried to catch internet video but the sites were slammed. When the second plane hit I drove home in tears.

Focusing on the most brutal attack ever on American soil in recent history, I was at the Las Vegas Coca-Cola branch filling up the Co2 truck listening to the radio thinking WTF is going on?!?

Driving to Harrisburg for work. Listening to Howard Stern. Had to call a friend, who is a news junkie, to find out what was really happening.

I got into car at 8:30AM to head to the law firm at which I was working. There was a morning radio show I enjoyed, hosted by a couple of goof-offs, whose names I don't remember now. As soon as I started the car & the radio turned on, I noticed the seriousness in their voice, but didn't know yet what happened or to what they were referring. As I was nearing the office, they summarized the events & it was like someone punched me in the stomach.
One of the attorneys was from NYC, so it especially hit home for her. We kept the office closed that day & spent it huddled in the conference room watching the television. Later, we ordered delivery food, as no one was in the mood to go out. Many Americans don't realize that it wasn't solely a U.S. event - to this day, it's an international event on a scale that hadn't been seen since WWII. I have a good friend who's Japanese, living north of Tokyo. I thought that I knew him well, but today he surprised me. I sent him a greeting this morning via messenger & received the reply, "I am in silent prayer." I didn't interrupt him further. About an hour later, I receive another message saying, "I will not forget the 11 September." I have newfound admiration for him. I hope forum members who weren't born yet or are too young to remember, will read these posts as a time-stamp of history & appreciate the impact that infamous day had on people here & abroad. Just finished playing hockey at the arena my employer owns.....we walked by the TV in the lobby and saw the news feed....10 guys stood there with hockey bags over their shoulder for almost an hour.

I'd slept in after a late night of Everquest. My wife called and woke me up explaining what happen. I blew her off she told her that a plane flew into the Empire State Building after WWII. I went to the couch and turned on the TV to watch in disbelief as the events of that morning unfolded.
It was also our second wedding anniversary. One of the weirdest things I remember was going to work for several days after and not seeing or hearing any commercial air traffic. Just seemed real quiet. |

Was at Ramstein AB, Germany. Went into munitions control to see the second tower get hit. We were in disbelief this happened on home soil.

In A.C. making a delivery. Feels like it was today not 15 years ago. Hard to believe it was 15 years ago. Still stings:(

I was at my friends speed shop picking up a set of big block mopar heads. Was so distraught that I left without them and just drove home instead of going back to work.
