So hit a curb, blew 2 tires, now alignment is way off

So like the title says, I hit a curb with both passenger side tires. Popped them both, I replaced the tires with new ones today but my alignment is way off and even worse under acceleration. I've got an appointment tomorrow morning at the dealership to see what all is wrong. My questions is, I had the stock tires and replaced with stock tires. I have 8000 miles on the car and this set of tires. Could the alignment just be off because I have new tires on one side and 8000K old tires on the other?

I assume you didn't get an alignment when got the tires because you didn't mention it. But the fact that you hit a curb hard enough to blow both tires you can pretty much be sure you knocked it out of alignment.

Your alignment is off because your smacked the curb! to pop both tires I would guess there’s more damage than just an alignment…..

If i were you i would have replaced both rear tires. You take a chance on destroying your differential with two mismatched outer diameter rear tires.

I know it sounds like I hit the curb hard but I really didn’t. I was sitting at a stop sign and made a right hand turn and knocked the corner of a curb. I’ll post tomorrow on what the result is from the dealer. I assumed the tires weren’t enough but I wasn’t sure and yes ya going for the alignment tomorrow.

You can see the curb that extends into the shoulder I hit. I was at the stop sign, the wife texted mett me st the gas station (that’s off to the right) so I made a right, wrong lane I know.

I was thinking that too, but didn't want to upset him. But since you brought it up ..yeh... he may have effed up some suspension components too.

I think it’s actually called an accident. Did you go thru your insurance? Usually it’s a free one when no other car is involved except deductible.

That’s a weird curb set up with turn. How many people hit that at night?

I'm guessing your wheels have some curb rash at the least. It's not hard to accidentally bump a curb in these cars.

It's easy when you turn from the wrong lane.

If you blew 2 tires, you knocked it out of alignment at the least and could've bent a suspension component at the worst. Best thing to do is get it checked out and see what the damage is.

If you blew two tires, sounds like you did a little more than "knock the corner" The alignment needs to be checked, and you probably want to make sure the wheels are still straight and balanced
