Texas speed headers???

Im in the process of looking for a good set of LT headers for my 2011 camaro SS LS3. I know kooks and ARH are good reputable brands. But a friend of mine suggested Texas speed LTs. After doing research im getting mixed views. Some saying they fit great and other saying fitment is sometimes off.

I've heard very very few bad reviews about Texas speed headers. There are a ton of members here running them. There are dozens of great threads with fantastic reviews of them (as well as other headers worth considering)

Personally I was going to go with them until the last second I went with Kooks. They are good headers and you should get good use out of them. They're Chinese made, so they may not have quite the build quality of Kooks/ARH/Stainless Works, but they are good headers and should serve you well. I think unless you're going with the 2" pipes you shouldn't have much fitment issue and many people have said that they have been working to fix that fitment issue as well. Good luck and happy modding!

My TSP headers fit like a glove. Only thing I don't like about them is the 'Slip-Fit' style collector flanges. But other brands use those as well, such as Speed Engineering.

They also claim to have some of the thickest steel tubing you can get, at 2mm. Supposedly thicker than most competitor's, according to TSP...."2.0 mm thick tubing (much thicker than competitors' headers)"

I would buy mine again in a second.

BUT, if I truly had to do it again, I would spend more and get either Doug Thorley Tri-Ys or Kooks Stepped headers.

Not to jack the thread but im also looking at some long tubes. My concern is the longevity of the cats....Im in Canada so price will surely be a sticking point as well as quality. Are the cats listed for the headers mentioned good quality. I can get BBK 1 7/8 ceramic coated longtubes with cats for $1400 taxes in but im just not sure about their quality.

Not with cats. If you're getting cats the cost is very similar.

Yep, never said anything about them having cats. Who runs those things anyway?
