reaching 10k miles.. how can i use warranty now??

I'm about to make 10K miles on my 2Lt.

At this point, Is there anything that can be done to use the warranty(not by breaking something) that the car has?

For what reason would you need or want to use the warranty when nothing needs it? The free coffee & donuts in the waiting room?

This makes no sense. If nothing is broken you have no use for the warranty.

What the OP means if there are any known issues the car may have that he's not aware of.

I believe paint warranty against environmental factors or something or another is done at 12,000 miles, could be way wrong on that though

Maybe his service manager is a hot chick.

At 21k all I've used the warranty for is a squeaky/clicky sound at the base of the windshield, which happened when it got cold. They lubed up the join between the base and plastic outside the front of the car.

The only other thing I have to get fixed is the noise that has developed in the AC/heat blower, which apparently is a known issue.

Any squeaks/noises bothering you?

on my malibu i had some electrical issue with some wires going to the fuse box had gotten messed up from water leaking. (how it got there at that point was beyond me). was told it was the window seal and wasnt covered by warranty. So was directed to go to the local window replacment guy.
He tested it (window seal) and found that it wasnt the reason/cause.

fast forward 2 weeks and i take it back in. service manager and window guy talk. dealership does a better investigation and it would seem that a weld along the top of the car and the seal had allowed water to seap in when it rained.

275 bucks because the weld was bad and the seal was bad? pfft.. i wont be buying a malibu again. How is that not part of the bumper to bumper?? its not like i took my car apart and undid the weld?

(yea little irked still!)

What the heck.. Since when would the window seal not be covered under the warranty? That makes no sense whatsoever. Lazy Dealer if you ask me. I would have been howling big time over that one.

I would contact GM customer service directly on this, I believe the dealer was wrong, they can repair this as Goodwill warranty if nothing else.

OP they are not required to look at anything unless it's broken.
Some dealers do offer a multi point inspection for free when you take it in for other service. (oil change, inspection, coolant change) but that is for normal wear items mostly.
