I like them, but not enough to trade down like that. Maybe if it came with a monster turbo from the factory I'd consider. Whatever makes you happiest is what you should do.

You can put way more tire on a V6 Camaro compared to a FRS/BRZ and if you have the RS package you definitely have more tire. I highly doubt the FRS handles as good as a 5th gen. Easy to drive does not mean the car actually handles better.

thinking about trading v6 camaro for fr-s
scion.. really?
Get the BRZ.. I Test drove and I thought the frs/BRZ felt a little cheap.. even more so the frs.. however with that being said, wait for an Sti version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

the manual FR-S can get ~40mpg. Make sure you budget for e85 and a turbo

Before I bought my V6 Camaro I sat in the FR-S and I can tell you it felt really small compared to the Camaro, and, for me at least, the seats were a bit too small and felt uncomfortable. The car drove nice when I tested it and it looks really cool overall, but I think it all comes down to how you really feel driving it around, and how comfortable you feel in it. I am 180lbs and 5-08 in height and I can honestly tell you the V6 camaro felt faster, more spacious and definitely more comfortable. I drive the V8 now and I feel like I am in a race car everytime I get in. My advise is test drive one and see how you feel about it.

I have two thoughts:
1) If handling concerns you...do a small drop on your car, and front/rear sways and you'll find yourself in a much more nimble feeling and responsive car. Now you have good handling (maybe not still up to par with the FRS/BRZ) and more power without spending the dough on a new ride. 2) Wait on the 6th gen Camaro. Its pretty much guaranteed to outperform the 5th gen in every way. The Alpha chasis so far has gotten rave handling reviews, it will be lighter than your car, and because of the weight loss, have more get up and go. The V6 may even get a nice little power bump, but we have yet to see that. good luck.
