Wow. That's terrible. Unless the stuff under the skin is really really cool, I'm importing a used 2011 when the time comes.

for what it's worth..........

............every time we make a change - some people absolutely hate it.

I was not a fan when I first saw the lights (separate - not on the car -- some time ago) --- but you might be surprised as to how they grow on you.

Not to beat a dead horse...........

......oh - all right -- why not..........

...........you MAY recall that a whole buncha people "HATED" the SS fascia --

and they HATED the mail slot...............and they HATED the backup lamps...........and they HATED the interior.................and they HATED the B-pillar...........

(.....want me to continue? I have many more examples........)

As always - it's best to see it in person before passing final judgement......

I like the euro tail lights. They look futuristic. I wish the reverse lights on ours were worked into the tail lights or rear diffuser somehow.

a few points

  1. Mirrors: too in your face the clear and obvious turn sig could be better integrated.
  2. Tails: as a general rule, Im a fan of LED tails. However, the led-strip look seems outta place on a Camaro and belong on an Audi. Maybe Chevy could improve them by going with composite internal LED in the housing taillight assembly
  3. Spoiler: It looks more American than any spoiler we have in our own domestic market. Maybe that was the point

This may be true for the taillights, but is it absolutely necessary to add those HUGE side mirrors? I've seen plenty of cars driving around with smaller ones.

I can't wait to finally see Camaro's at our local dealership in Helsinki this Autumn.
Thanks fbodfather for dealing with the criticism on this forum and responding with candid reasons why it will be like this. I'm sure there will be plenty of buyers waiting for a Camaro to call their own. Too bad it's going to cost probably 75,000 euro's for an SS. Too much money for the average person to afford due to heavy taxes on big V8 engines cars here.

Any chance those taillights will ever make it to the US models, Fbodfather?

but:
if the dove tail spoiler will give us more down force on the rear axle, will it increase the drag coefficient (cw)? and reduce top speed?
The octane rating is not the same in europe and the states...
In Europe you have RON diplayed and over here it's the AKI which is roughly 4 to 5 points lower... therefore a US 93 is roughly equivalent to a european 97-98

The spoiler looks good. The tail lights probably grow on you after a while. You could probably see your reflection in those mirrors from the space station. It's still a Camaro so it's all good.

OK, I understand that the EU requirements need a larger side view mirror, but are side mirrors on the Camaro the same size or larger than other European car models? I see the German MB, Audi, BMW with smaller side mirrors here in the states, do they also have larger mirrors in Europe?
