I grew up in OKC and live in Tulsa, so, those pictures are quite familiar to me. Did you manage to get the brakes fixed?

Been off the web
A few months ago I announced I was going off the web because I was being called as an expert witness in a Canadian import case. Now, finished. Still do not know the outcome of the case but I am finished.
End of June I was returning home from a dinner with my car guy friends. I had a green light, turning right. A cyclist going on the wrong side of the street (from my right side) ran the red light and hit my auto, his body bounced across my hood. I will never forget his screams of pain. Thankfully, a car in back of me stayed to say I had a green light. Thankfully, an oncoming auto stopping had two off-duty nurses and they said I had the green light. I was not charged. Been in contact with my insurance company and they find me 0% at fault. However, $4,129 damage to my Camaro (hood had to be replaced) an I am out my $500 deductible. Thankfully the cyclist that ran the red light and hit my auto fessed up it was his fault. I am thankful he had no more than a leg injury. As long as I live I will never forget that second when he bounced off my hood. I have loved driving for more that 45 years. Now I am hesitant to drive. The Camaro has been repaired. Tomorrow my 1966 TBird conv. will be delivered from a restoration shop after months of details and great expense. I am now hesitant to drive since the cyclist hit my Camaro. |

Glad to see old friends back. Sorry for the troubles Rick & abaucom21. Hope all is well soon. Stay in touch guys.
Very busy day. It took all day but we finally managed to get a trust account set up & the check from the sale of the farm & house deposited along with a couple more checks. That was the biggest check I have ever touched in my life & was probably last legal document of any kind I will ever see with my mother's name on it. I an beat. I had to come home & just throw some things in bags so not feeling good about my packing at all. Luckily, Mike will be driving home daily to check on the rabbit so if I need something he can get it. Good night. Bowling Green bound in the early AM.

Sorry about not posting last night. We got to our next destination and went to bed, but hear goes;
Wednesday was a long day, and the 5 hour delay did not help things. But we're here in New Mexico and the next stop is home. I'd like to thank the folks at Mustang Automotive in Mustang, OK for doing a thorough repair and fixing another brake problem I would have to deal with when I arrived home. Because of the delay, we did not make any unnecessary stops, as there are several auto museums along this stretch and i, again, had to settle for driving by Cadillac Ranch. But I'm thankful the car stops when needed and it is no longer leaking brake fluid. First photo is the fuel stop in Mustang, OK where gas was $2.19/ gal.
