At what coolant/oil temperature you start having fun?

Like title, what you guys opinion on coolant and oil temperature before starting to have fun?

Before reaching the optimal temperature, at what RPM you guys keep the car under?

I wait until the oil reaches 150F and coolant reaches 170F. The factory tune pulls timing and power until coolant temps get about 170F anyhow.

I was about to say this same thing. I have always gone by oil at 150, but with this car generally go just a bit higher...

Also, don't start and go. Give the car 30 seconds before putting it in gear!

The engine warms up fast when it's warm outside. It's never an issue. My last ride, a BMW, wasn't warmed up until the oil was 235F and ran at 255F. That took a long time.

Yea my 335i took forever to warm up. The SS is definitely faster.

I agree! I actually shift right a 2k for the first few miles. After that, nothing above 3K until full op temps. I am coming from a BMW M3 that uses a 10w60 motor oil. The 60wt oil and known rod bearing issues trained me to take warm up seriously!
