K&N BlackHawk intake
Just installed my K&N BlackHawk intake and love it. Install was simple. Very high quality pieces. Sounds way louder than stock. Seat in the pants difference is great. Car takes off with less throttle imput. Better gas milage.
Favorite part is probably the sound and knowing I bought a top knotch quality piece so I don't have to worry about anything. buy one guys. you wont regret it. |

Defiantly doesn't take away power one bit. Power is there. You can tell how much easier the car accelerates under normal driving conditions. That's a tell tail sign that your making more power. The sound is where its at too. Amazing sound.

Who TF would tell you it takes away power. SO STUPID. Why would one of the biggest if not biggest aftermarket companies sell something that wouldn't produce results. Find the person that told you that and do me the favor of slapping them really hard.

The stock intake is very good. Several other aftermarket intakes have been shown to lose power or only break even. It’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Post the dyno charts showing it makes power.

K&N sends a Dyno sheet showing results but the Blackwing is a Dry Filter not oiled I am sure it didn’t take away hp but how much it adds I don’t know did everything to my car at once 437/470 with Blackwing Long Tubes no Cats and Dyno Tune

I was debating between this and rotofab but my shop did say its actually loosing power on the dyno rather then improving they also told me to never run a CAI without a tune because car will run lean

The stock CAI is good and the only one proven to make a significant difference in power is a Rotofab. It has shown consistent 10-11whp gains on average. Others have shown little to no gains. The loss of power claim I believe was without tuning...after tuning it was break even or a slight gain. Rotofab also does not require a tune either like the others.
