I love the sound of my 2011's LS3 stock exhaust. It sounds mean when I get on it but quiet on the highway. It reminds me of the sound of my old 2002 Z06's titanium mufflers. I read a lot of posts about folks cutting the mufflers off or adding aftermarket mufflers. I did not like the look of the big cans from the back, so I painted them black with BBQ paint. So they are stealth now. I understand, different strokes for different folks , that's fine, but I just wanted to know if anyone else likes the sound of their stock exhaust system?

I agree, so far. Just got mine today. Lot of half throttle10-20mph runups and coast downs as part of break-in. Loved every minute because of the sound. Both accelerating and decelerating.

Well....I just upgraded from an I6 Trailblazer so hells yea I like the sound of it. Ha!

I have a L99. The stock sound was fine. The stock volume was NOT fine. Plus, I like the idea of picking up 40rwhp.

Thus, SW headers and 3" exhaust for me.

I did the muffler delete the 2nd day I had it home. To me, it was just far to quiet and conservative sounding with the stock mufflers

I think the stock exhaust is too quiet. The huge gas can mufflers are kinda ugly too.
I'm really starting to consider a Corsa catback because I have it on my Silverado too. It's quiet at idle and light throttle but screams at WOT. No highway drone too.

The actual tone of the exhaust is quite good. I really liked that. However the ugliness of it can't be denied. It's also much to quiet.

I love the stock exhaust. It's quiet on the highway and sounds good in high RPM. But the huge mufflers are ridiculous looking. I have to paint them black the sooner the better.

Too quiet. I like my corsa cat back much better. Although I can't wait to upgrade to some headers, and probably a different exhaust down the road.
