Lots of guys don’t realize the benefits of the PDR for track use. When used with Cosworth’s software there is in depth car and driver data.

Maybe if GMA, you and everyone else starting a thread about this actually did so without a misleading title.......

If the article says soon, title your threads differently. You guys are doing the same thing GMA is doing. Getting people to click on a misleading title. Plenty of people will read the title to these threads here without reading inside and starting spreading more misinformation.

Besides, GMA has a history of not knowing what they're writing about. They DO NOT have a magic crystal ball on what will and won't be available.

My 2022 order specified PDR on a ZLE and my dealer called me after 5 months (in November 2021) to say if I wanted the car, I would have to delete the PDR option. Disappointedly, I removed the PDR option to get the car. Car was scheduled to be built in December which got pushed to January 31, 2022 and now Chevrolet informed me my estimated delivery date is now March 29 plus or minus a few weeks. No PDR and still having to wait another two months.

I only see 3 good reasons for using PDR:

1) Driving on track--I LOVE my PDR on track, captured so many memorable moments, so convenient vs 3rd party

2) Spirited canyon driving, I have nice canyons 5 min from house

3) Valet mode if you're concerned about a shop (I would never valet my M6 ZLE)

Other than this I never use it, can't see myself turning it on for a city street drive

Agreed. Initially I was going to order mine with it, but I had it on my ss 1le and literally never used it (I didnt track that car either, and we don't have great roads around here). I think it's a great tool for track use, and I was glad I had it when I went to sell the car. With this one, I'm hoping to keep the zl1 for many years, as we get more and more electric cars everywhere, and manual optioned cars become extinct!
